Re: Atherosclerosis and hypothyroidism
off topic- Chris
Hi bling,
it sounds to me as if you have some peripheral circulation problems, most likely caused by minor blockages of metabolic and other wastes. If you had serious circulation problems then your resting BP would indeed be much higher than it already is.
Weak, damaged, or blocked veins are repaired and cleansed on a fast, so yes I would fast first, and then take the supplements post-fast with an extremely high-water content natural diet.
Dr Fuhrman tends to feed his high BP heart-patients with a plant based high water content diet for several months prior to a fast; this will enable them to lose weight, and also avoid the need for by-pass surgery as their arteries are unblocked in this way: but if your circulation problems are only peripheral, then your arteries are not in need of repair and unblocking, so that regimen wouldn't be necessary.
I would personally begin the fast when you plan to after the B'Holiday and then re-feed correctly, and I am postive that your health problems will disappear in a short time........even your thyroid problems and endocrine system should return to normal if the fast is extended for a sufficiently long enough period of time.
How long were you considering to fast for.?
