Re: Mirena for PreMenopause?

Yes,I too thought perimenopause,I was having pretty bad hot flashes.(before Mirena that is.)
But like i said,my Gyno told me that my hormone levels did not show that.(*thru blood labs*)
Though at times I think I might go mad, with these exceptionally long "periods"?,I am not having nearly as many side/effects with Mirena as others here.No weight gain, loss actually, but it is Summer & where I live is truly HOT & I just don't want to eat.
My hair isnt falling out,My joints don't hurt or ache, and so on....
I surely hope that I might be one of the few women whose periods stop all together after a year of Mirena.but I am not really that lucky..Lol..
Butnot at the rate I am going,(long bleeding and spotting, like you,I am doing well if I have one week out of the month of "pad" free!)

I am sort of fearful about having it removed, because I was soooo worse before it.
So I think I will stick with it a bit longer.
But I DO have HBP now,it was awful, and this is something I developed after Mirena was placed.
But I deal,whats ONE more pill.. :)
So Yes,please keep in contact with me,you can use my private mail if you like! :)

So,in the long run,Mirena isnt so bad for me.I have a very loving & understanding Hubby..((I guess THAT is where I am Lucky.)) ;)
But the intimacy is not so much..If you know what I mean..;)
Can you blame him..??
