Sorry Fledgling, just found your posts
Gosh, sorry Fledgling, I just found the new posts. I don't get the notices of posts in my regular box, they go to the spam or trash box and I never think to look in there. I was just scrolling down through the forum and found these new posts you'd done recently.
Very interesting information, thank you. We live in an area that has both- old volcanic ash deposits, and ancient dried lake beds...what is left of the lake that was supposed to have covered this whole area, is now the Great Salt Lake. We find ancient sea-life fossils at the tops of the mountains- around 12,000-13,000 ft elevation. My husband took a group of Boy Scouts hiking, and one of them found an ancient squid fossil, one of the largest the BYU Professor's had ever seen.
Mt St. Helens--I still have a bottle of the ash my Grandmother saved when that erupted--she lived in E. Washington when it erupted, and she also got the ash.
Time for bed. Thanks for the interesting posts!
