Not an easy way of life, alot of variables you have no control over--weather, lack of moisture, price of fuel, price of cattle, wondering if you'll have enough hay to make it through the winter etc etc. But, having something like the microbes work for you, and knowing other farmers have struggled with the same type of soil/conditions for years, has created some excitement around here (without it costing an arm and a leg like the fertilizers that have tripled in priced since last year)..and because the water is actually going into the ground and not running off the top like it did before, it's conserving on water (and power).
