Ditto on walking barefoot..."if only" it were more of a concern with the grandkids who don't ever wear shoes around here, running around barefooted in the horse corrals in manure up to their ankles--and on the grass where the dogs have gone to the bathroom.

They love raw turnips out of the garden (not many kids like turnips), but they'll be getting lessons on thoroughly cleaning the veggies before eating them...their mom is a biology major- doesn't want to hear about the parasites- but is concerned for the E coli now from the other boy that was in the hospital last year from eating raw vegetables straight from the garden. That's just one concern, but maybe she'll be more concerned now that they clean up the vegetables too.
