Sorry, but cortef(HC) only lasts 3-4 in your body, which is why it needs to be taken two or more times every day. It does NOT build up in the body. I don't know what happened with you, but perhaps the flu cleaned you out. Maybe you didn't eat much during the sickness and that helped you.
