We have been suffering with this problem for about a year and a half. Our son began holding his bowel movements soon after toilet training. I have recently discovered what this is. I believe he has Encopresis and there is a great web site at www.aboutencopresis.com. We are now seeing Dr's about the situation and hopefully it will be solved soon.
