Re: Bowel problems with children

Bob I have a grandson that is 8. He had a shunt put in as a baby (brain) He appear's to have some learning problem's but I am not sure if he really does or it is laziness. He lack's disapline in my eyes also. BUT the biggest problem is his bowel's. he has many accident's. would his shunt, having that done have anything to do with it at all?
Could this be his way of getting attention? What if anything should we try to get him to not wait until he starts to go in his pant's before he goes to the toilet?
I have had many arguements with his mother about disapline. It is obvious to me he control's her a lot. But not me.
thankyou
