Re: What could be causing my 5pm anxiety?
hi peggyaus....I had a long history with anxiety and panic, but it's gone now. years ago, when the anxiety was very bad, it was just a constant, every day all the time. as I started getting better, the anxiety also improved and it was just some days, but still lasted all day long. it was at the end stages that all I had of it were those 5 pm surges.
I think with anxiety problems there's a disturbance in the body already that's making the person highly susceptible, so it doesn't take much to set it in motion. for me, this was the case, it took nothing to have a panic attack...a change in weather often set it off, and actually that is true about night setting it off, I found night time to be difficult too..but...I was already unwell.
now, not being sick, I encounter all the same daily things, but never get anxiety or panic attacks. makes me think anxiety has it's root somewhere else already, there's something(s) not right in the body already and anxiety is one of the manifestations of it.
