Thanks Tom what I was trying explain was that in the first quote he was saying chlorine dioxide does not react with an acid ie HCl in the stomach
and in the second he was saying that ClO2 was the product of a reaction
therefore they were not the same thing therefore there was no contradiction as FLR suggested. I'll leave it there
