Re: Day 7 of fast
Hi Mishaaz,
Congratulations on losing 10
pounds already, you're doing great. I have been on the
Water Fasting forum and what I learned there and through my own experience is that if you are going to
Water Fast you should only drink water according to thirst.
Your post says that when you get really hungry you drink watered down broth, I thought you should know that when you put something in your mouth other than water you activate your taste buds which signals your digestive system to start which makes you hungry.
Don't get me wrong, you will be hungry the first few days of nothing but water but then the hunger goes away and the cleansing and healing starts. As long as you drink broth you will remain hungry and the true cleansing and healing won't happen.
Fasting with water only is healing and cleansing your body. When
Water Fasting your digestive system shuts down and rests and your body will start living on, or consuming its stores for fuel which is what we want because it also eats up anything that shouldn't be there like any growths and also our excess weight and fat stores.
Starvation is eating tiny amounts of food or broth and still your digestive system is working but your body isn't getting enough nutrients, and you will still get hungry. Your body isn't using up its stores its just storing what you are putting into it because it doesn't know when you might feed it again.
Hope this all makes sense and helps you. It sure helped me and now I'm not hungry at all. Good luck and keep up the good work.
