Re: More questions about D/L-lactate and probiotics...

I need to add to the last message, that after revisiting some of these sites to confirm my safe "L. Lactate Producing Organisms List" I found contradictory information about L. Salivarius and L. Plantarum. The L. Plantarum used to treat D. Lactate Acidosis is called L. Plantarum 299V. On this same website they say that L. Plantarum and L. Salivarius produce D. Lactate; even though L. Salivarius is a main ingredient on Custom Probiotics Special Blend for Autistic Children, which very clearly states that it is D. Lactate free. The only thing I can think of to explain the contradiction on these particular organisms is that the medical journal I read is mistaken, or there are different strains of these organisms. It is probably best to check with the company that sells them to make sure.
