Hi Mag, for regular probiotic supplements, the bacteria are normally listed plus the amounts. Also there's been recent changes to EU law, which requires that every ingredient on nutritional supplements has to be listed.

But with EM, presumably as its not sold for human comsumption there must be no requirement as there's no list of bacteria on my bottle of mother culture. They give you a general discription with the instructions....listing lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, actinomycetes, photosynthetic bacteria and fungi.

The drink I mentioned in the post to Gooner is sold for human consuption but no list of bacteria there either, just the general ingredients, presumably as its classed an an 'antioxidant drink', not a probiotic.

Have you been able to find out what bacteria are in the ones you've tried?
