I am trying not to eat in daytime, I am a compulsive eater, so I eat too much fruit or nuts. I have been able to limit myself to eating a few pineapple pieces, I used to eat a whole bowl full or I have an apple around lunch.
For me it is easy to eat early since we get up at 6 and indeed we try to go to sleep by 10. I sometimes go even at 9.
What is interesting I remember 35 years ago I was trying to shake the lack of energy (now I know it was depression) and forced myself to get up early and I felt much better, but at that time I did not know about Ayurveda, so now it makes sense.
