Trying to eat healthier, any suggestions?
So I've started eating healthier and I've gotten to the point over the past week or so where I'm now eating low calories, low fat foods and I was curious if anyone could provide any insight into what I'm eating currently to tell me what I should add/subtract. I eat pretty much the same thing every day right now but I'm open to change.
My food day generally consists of the following throughout the day:
1 4
oz yogurt (blackberry/pomegranate)
2 gala apples
1 pack Quaker instant Oatmeal
1 turkey sandwich (whole grain bread)
1 11oz EAS protein shake (after an hour long walk/run)
This all equates out to be about 810 calories, 7.5g fat, 144g carbs, 42g protein and 30g fiber.
Should I add more calories to the mix? I don't really feel the need to eat anything other than these foods currently though I know most people would say 810 cals is too low. Any suggestions on where I could improve this? I honestly can't stand most vegetables and I think that could be where I'm going wrong. The vegetables I do enjoy, potatoes and corn, aren't necessarily the best in the world. I am trying to lose weight but I want to learn how/what to eat to be able to lose weight so that any exercise I do won't be for nothing.
Thanks!
