over a long time. I don't know how long that person had EC. prolonged cortisol use causes EC. If i had normal lips and i suddenly got inflammation.. then corticosteroid would be the best treatment. Use it too long and ... hello EC. A newcomer should get rid of inflammation quickly. My EC spreading to the whole lip didn't suddenly happen... it developed over a period of time.
