Re: Vodka kills bugs?

You can clean almost anything with a mix of Vodka and Dawn. It makes great jewelry cleaner.

Down here in the south, the old Cracker (native white Floridian) remedy for worms was chewing tobacco, then swallow the juice. (Yuck!) Tobacco is a really good insecticide, and if you grinde up cigarette butts, put them in a sprayer, and spray your plants, and the insects leave them alone. Tobacco has a very bad reputation because of the cigarette industry, but remember that the addictive factor of nicotine is upped by the cigarette manufacturers to cause addictive smoking. (Hence increase their profit.) Tobacco smoking was holy in all the native american cultures in North America, I have a suspicion that it's probably a pretty good anti-parasitic.
