I have had the mirena for 5 months now. My hair used to be so thick but now so much of it has come out. I have to resort to cutting it b/c it is so stringy. If I had know this was gonna happen I would have never gotten this IUD. It sounds so good that it lasts for 5 yrs but they fail to warn you of the critical side effects. I wish I would have researched it more prior to getting it. I am getting it removed as soon as possible.
