Re: Confused about acidic/alkaline killing candida

I've wondered the same thing, over and over and over! I mill it around in my head, asked the doctor, HFS owners ect. One HFS guy said, balance is key. Because NATURAL foods produce both acid/and alkaline in the body. And, many natrual foods have their own enzymes in place. The doc said only alkaline, green, green, green. Green juice, green powder, green everything! Then he gave me betaine hcl and pepsin b/c acid belongs in the stomach. He went on to say something about the acid triggers the small intestine to neutralize so that enzymes can work there. He said when you eat acid all the time, your body is constantly having to neutralize by drawing from things like bones. I tried to alkalize on my own, but only felt worse. The first betaine hcl I took felt wonderful! I am still not getting it obviously, other than some parts are supposed to be acid and some parts alkaline. He checked my urine and said it was alkaline and that was good??? I thought it should be acidic to kill microbes. So confusing, can't wait to read what others have figured out!
