Hi Chris,

This is my first post, I've been reading this forum for several days, learning about water fasting. I have learned from your many posts that while fasting we should be resting. I'm confused about the reply you gave to superanonygirl below. When you said "You will also lose more weight this way" did you mean you will lose more weight when fasting and resting or when fasting and walking and climbing stairs? From your previous posts I would think you meant from fasting and resting, I just want to make sure if you lose more resting or exercising. You are a Godsend to this forum Chris and I just want to thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with the forum.

The maximum benefits from fasting are when resting, because fasting is after all a physiological rest, where all of your bodily energies are then diverted to cleansing & healing; however, if you are physically active such as walking that mile to work and climbing stairs 6 times a day and so on, then a large part of those energies are being utilized in muscular effort. You will also lose more weight this way, if you have the weight to lose that is.
