Carter has been the only person of significant stature and power in the US government in my lifetime to really push hard for alternative sources of energy, and it got shoved back in his face. I will agree with you about the Dems - they talk tough in general terms about the environment but when it comes time to vote they are still bought and paid for by the special interests. Tweet
