Unbelievable dilema! Cancer Treatment Center

Hi to Uniquity and Trapper and everyone else who is trying so hard to help. 

Monday I went to my naturopathic doctor who is a great guy.  He gave my husband a vit C IV and an Alpha lipoic acid IV.  He says he knows a doctor in Germany who uses a dialysis machine to filter out the cancer receptors in the blood that cancer gives out to block the immune system from fighting it.  It is expensive and and may take 3 months to do.  We can afford to do it but one of the problems is that he doesn't want to take patients that have brain tumors.  He says sometimes the tumors will swell up during the treatment and cause problems that he doesn't want to deal with right now since he is still on probation with the German government although he does have initial approval. 

Trapper thinks that people who get cancer somehow want to get it.  I can say this is not the case with my husband.  He eats well, takes vitamins, exercizes, and always talks about living to be 95.  His Dad died at 87 and his mom dies at 98.  He took better care of himself that just about anybody I know.  We don't know where this came from but one possibility is something really stupid we did 35 years ago.  We used to use tin foil to line a pipe to smoke hash or marijuana in.  Smoking aluminum is probably not a good thing.

After meeting with the oncologist today, they want to do whole brain radiation.  There is one lesion there for sure and they believe there is other involvement.  They feel it is too soon to start chemo because he just had colon surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago.    We just want to get this stablized to the point where we could go to Germany.

I agree with those who say there are natural ways deal with cancer but our situation is so bizarre that our options are limited.  Jon had elective colon resection surgery.  The hospital neglected to do a chest x-ray prior which would have caught the lung cancer.  Having the surgery helped the cancer to spread and weakened the immune system and has limited some of our options.

I have just been reading up on whole brain radiation and it doesn't sound good.  The more I think about it the more it feels like they are just trying to buy us some time but don't think it is going to be a cure.
