I don't mind letting the debate go, but you imply that my arguement is not rooted in actual evidence. I think it is good to let people know that there is strong evidence to both our points and that I'm speaking as someone who has read a lot of scientific research on the subject. This is an argument with expert opinions and evidence apparently backing up both sides. There is no evidence that plainly points to one side of the argument. And the argument as I've presented it is NOT biology vs. psychology: this dichotomy is part of where so much confusion comes in. The latest theorists are starting to notice this and are trying to teach it. It is not either/or but is far more in depth than that (which is why this subject is too big to do justice to its complexities here).
I really think it would be a good idea to exercise more caution when implying that Science is on one side of a two sided scientific argument because this is misleading the public's way of thinking and can cause a good deal of trouble.
