Pale or bluish nails may indicate anemia. Vit C and iron are needed. Thyroid is usually related to cold hands/feet. Perhaps he should drop Miracle-Mineral-Supplement to 1 x per day and take extra C & iron (well away from Miracle-Mineral-Supplement dose, of course).

B12 & folic acid may be helpful too.
