Re: Did fasting damage your organs?
Hello pawel110,
As you probably know Chelation is the binding by certain "agents" to heavy metals within the body and therefore to clean it from these poisons.
My first option would be chlorella.
This is what Dr Mercola has to say on the subject.........
"Chlorella is also the superior of the three algae and two cereal grasses commonly available: chlorella, spirulina, blue-green algae, wheat grass and barley grass. Its tough cell walls provide advantages above the other four, including an outstanding ability to detoxify the body of heavy metals."
Dr Ben Kim....
"SuperGreens (including chlorella) will lead to detoxification of heavy metals, pesticides, and other toxins that have accumulated over time."
I would personally stick to the above protocol for at least several weeks, if not a month or two before attempting a water fast, which should finish off any remaining cleansing.
Chelation may be an expensive option, so I would only use that as a last resort.
"I take vit C and D approx 1000mg each per day"
A Vitamin C preference would be in the form of Magnesium or sodium ascorbate as ascorbic acid at the doses you have mentioned can irritate the stomach lining and lead to the early onset of diarrhea. A minimum dose would really be between 2000 to 4000 mg per day spread into 3 equally divided doses for maximum blood concentration.......
Dr Steve Hickey PhD......"Ascorbate: The
Science of Vitamin C".
Vitamin D is best taken in the form of Vitamin D3, which is the way Vitamin D is formed by the body after exposure to sunlight, and is much more bio-available to the body. Dosage? Most nutritional authorities recommend 2000ius (not mg) per day.
"1 multivitamin"
As long as it is a good quality Multivitamin. You will find one of the best at.....

"1 kelp tablet"
Good choice.
"charcoal tablets x2"
Only if you suffer from intestinal gas or have digestive problems.
"waiora zeolite in January 2008 which did make me fell better and normalised my sleep pattern to a certain extent. (expensive though)."
But not everyone agrees with the safety of Zeolite products...........

I am skeptical.
