question for anybody(mms chelator?)

didnt i read or hear somewhere that actvated sodium chlorite acts as a chelating agent. that it removes heavy metals such as mercury from the body? so in essence, if this is true, would we actually need to do any other type of chelation (oral or iv) considering how costly those other things (esp. IV chelation) can be? does anyone know where info. about mms and it's chelating effects can be found or read?

if mms is a chelator and can remove mercury or other things like that from the body, perhaps we have exactly what we need for our daughter right here at home right now???
