You've illustrated my point. Satan is much wiser and cunning than us. We need the wisdom of God to discern such things, because Satan can appear as an angel of light.

When Christ fasted 40 days, he was physically spent, but I believe that he was at his mental and spiritual peak in order to immediately face the temptation of Satan and then enter into his ministry.

I don't want to derail the thread, but I believe that fasting is a gift from God and that it can be used positively or negatively depending on how one goes about it. Therefore, at times I am compelled to speak up, as you all have and are greatly appreciated for it!
