Re: Tongue turned black, old timers??
Thanks,
This is a very supportive forum..
My tongue turned extremely black at first, the whole thing..
or I should say the back, plus sides, pink down the middle.
This was for two days, then started fading so it was only black on one side (my left) ..
and finally today just a white hue over pink.
It's been a long haul, and the black tongue at this stage in the game was alarming, so is the 'back up' of my system. I wonder if it was because I used herbs too strong that 'killed' too much and made too much debris.
Funny you should mention the Colosan - because I ordered that several days ago and should be getting it soon. That's what I started with when I went 'renegade' -
and it is a good starting point for me.
When I put my tongue out, it doesn't go left or right, it quivers slightly and I do still have these 'teeth marks' on the side, which indicates lack of oxygen/circulation I believe.
It's difficult now to decide on an effective plan. I have been reading about everything from Ayurveda to UT, and back over my
Liver Flush books...ect..
Starting with the colon/kidneys is best, from there I am not sure yet.
I am a strong Pitta type (almost 100% in constitution, plus Irish with red hair and freckles) .. with severe Pitta imbalance.
Pitta's don't respond too well to long fasts. That might be why my fasts were never as effective as some other folks, tho I did benefit..it definitely felt 'forced'.
Interesting when I read recently that Pitta is not a good constitution for fasting. I think that may be true for me.
I am considering Pancha Karma, because it's effect is exactly what I need --
however I am not so sure it is as safe in the modern world of chemicals and drugs as it was 1000nds of years ago (thinking the initial ghee treatment might move stones, ect that they did not have before 'modern' times, plus I have a bad history) ..
so now I am wondering about carefully planning my own more effective version of the therapy.
The swishing --
I feel results - the cleansing reaction - also better sleep, and I am very tired, but the good kind of tired..
tho my GB is sore, I think. I believe it is filtering my system to a degree that is noticable. I'm going to keep at it.
I always go through this, about a weeks worth of non-stop reading and somehow I find the place to start.
I did a long juice fast and four
Liver Cleanses to good effect last summer - fall, maybe I just need to go back and do that again - but I don't 'feel it' - and I think I need something more to cleanse on a deeper cellular level based on my situation. Instinct tells me I did not go deep enough with those methods..
that's what atracts me to the initial Pancha Karma phases of detox:
"A) Virechan-Purgation therapy
Virechan is a powerful therapy used for the elimination of toxins, namely AAM, and excessive Doshas, particularly Pitta, from the gastrointestinal tract. It cleanses the blood and Pitta-related organs like the small intestines, liver, gallbladder and spleen. It also strengthens digestive and metabolic processes.
Once a patient’s Aam is reduced the actual Virechan procedure can commence.
• This starts with intake of medicated Ghees and/or oils for 3-6 days.
• The Ghee induces the dhatus (tissues) to release the accumulated toxins and transport them to the GI-tract.
• The Ghee (clarified butter) is given in increasing amounts so that it can’t be digested completely. The Ghee that is not digested circulates within the body and brings Aam back to the GI-tract."
Would be easier with a guide, but they are hard to find and needs change.
I know it can be done (healing)! Which is a good feeling!
The question is how at this time.
