I've seen them around in the schools and it concerns me because they get made fun of and beat up a lot.
I am also concerned with parents who read the indigo children book and then tell the kids they are special because they are 'indigo children.' Most teachers and principles don't take kindly to that kind of thing.
Anyway-- Does anybody besides myself think this whole indigo kid thing is just a big cover-up for the decay of society at large? (TV, bad nutrition, bad parenting, etc.)
I've noticed in the past that New Age mindsets often are more destructive to the development of kids than good because kids become more 'wussy-like' by holding in their anger, etc.
Anyway-- I am glad I don't have any 'indigo kids' right now because they are a handful. But sometimes I think we make up labels for things that we don't know how to deal with. Kids today are pretty messed up, and it is our fault and our parents fault and society's fault for having bad nutrition for several generations 'weakening our kids.' I don't know about all this psychic woo-woo and auras and karma and stuff, but our kids today certainly have it rought today. The worst of them are even ostracized by their peer group because they are seen as weird, goofy, and possibly even aloof.
