Re: Leptin Resistance forum & Lyme forum

Hi Fledgling,

I knew your name looked familiar from the Humaworm forum! I've really enjoyed reading your posts. :) I'm on my second round right now -- great stuff.

I was pretty blown away by the whole Leptin thing too - it answered a lot of questions, particularly about the weight gain/inflammation. When I got sick with Lyme, my weight ballooned up 60 pounds in just a few months and in retrospect I think that had a lot to do with Leptin resistance.

I wish I had a great success story for you. I've had a hard time sticking to the Leptin diet, to be honest. When I was on it though I was losing weight. I try my best, but often I've been too sick to prepare food for myself so it makes it really hard.

You're definitely not a "fledgling-come-lately", either! :) As you can see, I posted in the Leptin forum over a year ago and I'm still going back and re-remembering all the info. It wasn't until just a few weeks ago that I went back and re-re-read the Mastering Leptin book and got the arabinogalactan (I've got pretty bad brain fog and memory issues as well).

Absolutely you can cut and paste whatever you like! I'm glad if the info is helpful.

One thing that I am doing now in addition to the arabinogalactan (man that's a long word to type!) is also doing the Water Cure . I decided to do this to help flush out all the toxins. It seems to be really working. I'm not sure if it's the supplement or the Water Cure but I am at this moment losing weight and have been since I started, even though my Leptin diet is spotty at best at the moment.

Also, about the parasites, I don't know if I've seen this written somewhere but I strongly believe that in addition to Leptin, they are also a cause of inflammation. And possibly a trigger for Leptin imbalance. I think that they send out some chemical signal that whacks out the Leptin response in the body.

I don't know if this has ever happened to you while doing Humaworm, but I have had a couple of occasions where I take it and then I get monstrously hungry, famished, ravenous for Sugar or other really bad food. I think this is the parasites' way of trying to stimulate us to eat so that they can feed since they're suffering from the Humaworm.

Good to hear from you - I just happened to be perusing the forum when your post came up so it was a case of good timing!

Alison
