Re: Did Jesus say He is God ?
Hello, been there done that,
>>>Why are you so consistently making false statements? What is your intention..to introduce confusion into the debate forum with false statements? <<<
What I have said is not false, to me. Perhaps to you they are, and you are free to believe what you wish to. As for confusion, well, there is enough of that around.
>>>If you were any more familiar with the bible than simply knowing how to read, you wouldn't be calling the first CHAPTER of Revelation a BOOK (your statement>>>"the first verse of the Book of Revelation...").<<<
Perhaps, maybe, you could be educational instead of accusatory and condescending? What do you call it?
>>>If you had ANY real knowledge of Christianity, you would know better than to try and convince anyone that the revelation was TO Jesus.<<<
That isn't what the book says. Did you not even read the first verse? Here it is again, note to whom the Revelation is to be given to.
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, "
The Revelation was given to Jesus expressly for it to be given to His bond servants. Jesus did this by communicating it to an angel, who in turn then communicated it to John. John then wrote it down so that we could have it even to this day.
I believe the bible, and it says that this Revelation was "given" to Jesus by God. I do not think your problem is with me.
>>>Unfortunately, many people do allow others to TELL them what to believe whenever a blank statement (no reasoning is offered in the same sentence) is made ("Who does this verse say gave Jesus the Revelation?"). You are dictating to us (telling us how to think, steering the conversation/debate/discussion). <<<
You say that I am guilty of dictating to you by asking a question!? No reasoning is necessary when a question is asked.
God gave each of us free-will. I certainly would never wish to impose on that gift by telling anyone how to think.
How come you don't answer the question instead of assuming what my motives are?
>>>You certainly will never discover the truth like this.<<<
Jesus says via the bible that The Father will send the Spirit of Truth who will inform us of all truth. Are you The Father? If not, then you can not with any certainty say I will or will not or haven't yet received truth.
>>>The last book of scripture (Revelation) was FROM Jesus TO John.<<<
No it wasn't. Read the first verse again: 1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
Jesus wanted His bond servants to know the things which must soon take place.
>>>The reason I don't respond to you academically is because I know that you simply do not have an academic interest in learning how to be Godly (feel free to prove me wrong and offer something other than continuous contradiction).<<<
Thank you for the additional put-downs. I perceive that it is you who is contrary to what the bible says.
>>>Jesus (the son) was sent by The Father for the purpose of soul purification and to leave the Father's spirit so we could learn to be Godly. Jesus as savior is a product of God and is an integral part of God's grace to humanity.<<<
Yes, I know.
Is part of being Godly being accusatory? Making assumptions, being condescending and full of put downs?
If so, then let me have no part of it.
