Re: Suffering Need Help, I know I have candida

There is a tendency when you're this sick (I am) to try to combine everything at once, including the supplements or meds that kill candida. Try to avoid this. The die-off symptoms sent me to the hospital 4 times in 2 weeks. The symptoms are a sense of swelling of tissue (e.g., it feels like my insides are too big for my ribs, plus a crushing pain around the stomach/chest that could make it difficult to breathe, in spite of narcotic pain medication). In other words, be careful. The only thing that stopped my die-off during several trips to the hospital was to give in somewhat to the craving for Sugar (whether vitamin water or orange juice). You may want to try "easing" your way into the die-off, although I can't claim to have succeeded (just started). I also found that EFAs (e.g., flax seed oil) as my only fat (with lettuce, a bit of lemon juice and salt) has a very good anti-inflammatory effect. I also use homeopathic rememdies, which help a little (6 for acute, 30 for chronic). Various supplements recommended in The Yeast Connection (and probably in the newer version The Yeast Connection Update). FYI, too much carb during an earlier die-off sent my head spinning as if on a Sugar high, with severe hyperactivity. Of the 4 trips, I did find that the last two were each a bit less than the previous one, so I may be getting there, but the pain is insane!
