lol I had the same trouble with paw paw. Maybe not quite as bad but the smell was quite putrid, and though the taste was almost agreeable the smell made me never come back for more. I didn't give up right away, I did try to blend it and drink it instead but it really wasn't worth the gross smell when there are plenty of other fruits around that both smell and taste great!

Having said that I am far more fruit friendly these days it might be interesting to give it another go....
