Perhaps you might get it once you realize that the question you've framed is akin to asking if one cannot look into the collective Hitler / 3rd Reich / Nazi empire, or any other systemic butcher of humanity as far as this goes, and find that among the many adherents and contributors both unwitting and not, and say that there were some people observed on occasion to have at least a few good and kindly qualities about them. That you have framed this question implies that you see this compromise as warranted.
