Mineral deficiencies in soil is nothing new, the midwest has been known as the goiter area since the 1800s. It doesnt take commercial agriculture to deminerlize soil, early man would move on once the soil became deficient. Coastal areas and old seabeds have always been known for thier high mineral content soils. Im not trying to debate just looking for answers, if one considers this bunk then no need to reply!
