Good answer thanks MH! But it still doesnt explain then why an iodine deficiency is found in most inland pasteurs ,they have plenty of walnuts or other iodine producing trees inland continuously producing iodine.Am I missing something?
I find this subject interesting and wonder how it would relate to walnut trees and gardening as most of what Ive heard is walnut trees kill certain plants like the tomato, but contrary to this would mulching with composted walnut brush or even hulls be beneficial to the garden as a good source of iodine to grow your fruits and veggies?
