Fasting and cellulite
Hi
Hope everyones doing well.
Along with my weight gain(from bad diet)came severe cellulite mostly on my thighs, really bad cellulite I NEVER thought it'd go away.Especially given that most cellulite treatments -creams,oral medication, liposuction, mesotherapy- may not rid cellulite and end up being a waste of money I decided to just let the situation work itself out or just give up on wearing shorts.Dry skin brushing is however a cheap highly recommended treatment for cellulite but havent tried it being too weak from fasting.
So the weirdest thing happened today, whilst getting dressed I was SHOCKED, I mean shocked to see there was BARELY any cellulite! I mean as it is I can slip into a pair of shorts as its 85% gone from doing nothing except fasting with occassional walks and cardio.
I really an delightfully shocked; which also brings me to another point of contention:FASTING RESULTS IN LOSS OF MUSCLE TISSUE NOT LOSS OF FAT.
Honestly, now I can argue this is FALSE.
-- First, food provides calories (fuel) for the body in the form of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Each source of calories is unique in the way it is used and stored by the body.Fat is the most calorie-dense of the nutrients. Unlike carbohydrate and protein, the body has an almost unlimited capacity to store fat and body fat stores act as the long term fuel reserves to prevent against starvation. So this would reiterate that the body does go to our bodys FAT reserves for fuel.
-- Second, given that to reduce the amount of cellulite, the best thing to do is to decrease excess body fat. Then the drastic reduction in my cellulite must be due to decreased body fat having gone from a BMI 36 points to 24 points and lost over 70lbs all from fasting over a few months. Again this makes me believe that you REALLY do loose body fat from fasting. I try to not to discredit people's views especially when I myself dont have the facts but given the above I am now confident there might not be too much substance to the claim that you lose muscle not fat so fasters lets not be discouraged by such claims.
