Re: Apple cider and Baking soda drink?

I have asthma, and a couple of months ago, my coughing was getting worse and worse. Taking more doses of my inhalers did not help at all; sometimes they even aggravated the coughing.

I did research, and discovered that one of the symptoms of acid reflux disease is coughing. I also read that asthma medications can aggrivate acid reflux.

I started drinking 1/2 a cup of water, 2 tablespoons of ACV (raw, organic, with the "mother"), and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda three times an day. Within about 4 or 5 days my coughing had greatly reduced. I've been doing this for about a month now, and I am a believer in this remedy.

My doctor wanted me to increase my dosage of Advair to 4 puffs a day. This would have ended up costing me $200 a month. Now I only take 1 puff a day, making the inhaler last 2 months.

The ACV drink does taste kinda nasty, but you get used to it. Some people add honey to sweeten.

If you do suffer from acid reflux cut out the following foods which are triggers... caffeine, chocolate, spicy foods, citrus fruits, onions, and tomatoes.
