I've never heard this complaint before. It makes sense, sort of, but never heard a woman say it out loud like you have done. I'm taking a shot in the dark here so go with it if you can...maybe, just maybe you feeling like a whore doesn't have anything to do with the apartment and everything to do with your actions? Is your conscience kicking in here? Is this the guy you really want to spread eagle for? Maybe not. Living quarters are an extension of your personality. A new picture on the wall or change in dining room furniture will still leave you cold. My experience is that the environment can be trumped every single time if the person you're doing it with is worth it.
