Re: Need help with high protein for breakfast, please.

Hi,
Here are some ideas for you:
1. Soy sausage (found in the frozen aisle next to Gardenburgers usually) links are good wrapped in an Ezekial or whole wheat tortilla or on whole grain bread with a slice of rice/soy cheese and a dab of ketchup or salsa. It is also good crumbled into scrambled egg whites (if you don't eat the yolks).
2. You can also find really good frozen all natural lowfat/low cal waffles now (buckwheat, whole grain, wheat-free) in the frozen section. I just toast 'em and put a cup of warm blueberries on the top (with their juice). Don't even need maple syrup!
3. STay away from any kind of bacon - too much salt, some have MSG, and the nitrates and nitrites are just plain bad for you.
4. Instant plain oatmeal with a banana (or raisins or other fruit)and scoop of soy protein powder (get the unsweetened kind).
5. Cereal: Ezekial cereal (found in natural food stores).
6. Buy EggBeaters (or other egg product) for quick fat free/cholesterol free scrambled eggs. Toss in some sauteed onions, leftover veggie from the night before such as steamed broccoli or spinach or asparagus, etc. and a little rice/soy cheese.
