Re: Another side-effect :-)
Thanks, I love and appreciate you too.
I believe you are an example of why many people need to spend some time doing some cleanses and cleaning up their diet before going on larger doses of iodine. Trapper is another example of someone who was pretty clean and able to take larger doses without the bad detox. I had done a lot of cleanses and was probably in better shape than many, but I am also dealing with both the physical and emotional effects of a crippling injury and that has put a lot of stress on my body. My detox has probably been kind of in the middle of the severity scale. I can tolerate it, but there are definite side effects and/or die off.
I really believe this is something we need to address as more and more newbies come to this forum. People who have not done the necessary work to clear their channels of elimination must be prepared to start slow and stay low while their body adapts to
Iodine and its detox. Then they can increase their dose to a more therapeutic level that will deal with more serious health issues. I have a feeling that many people who can experience greatest benefits from
Iodine will be the same ones who suffer the most from severe detox because they have not prepared their body adequately. This will also be the kind of person to give up and probably wind up bashing iodine.
