Another side-effect :-)
Last night I was in the gym and my PT commented on how much I sweat now, as opposed to before March. She told me she never had a client who worked so hard while sweating so little. It was true. I was dripping. This never happened before (iodine).
For a very long time, I did not sweat at all at light to medium effort (hair completely dry), and only developed a thin film of moisture on my skin at high-intensity effort. I was a Roger Federer before, I am a Patrick Rafter or Ivan Lendl now! I knew that not sweating was not healthy at all, but what was I supposed to do?
I was taking
Iodine when I was sick, and Jun/July I felt strong enough to go back to the gym - very cautiously. I built up to 3 times/week and the level I was at in Jan/Feb, by the end of Sep. In Oct, I started to notice I was sweating more and more, up to a LOT and was extremely happy about it. How much? My outfit is WET by the time I finish. I have more stamina and strength now.
I have the energy and the DESIRE to drive to the gym and work out, instead of driving home and going to bed for a nap, after being ON for 11 hours by the time I make that decision.
I feel GOOD after the workout and sauna, instead of completely depleted, like before (iodine).
I am not stinky at all. Tested it. Wore the same outfit for 2 consecutive weeks (6 workouts). Before you go: pfffff! let me tell you: I have a nose finer than a boodhound's. I could safely have gone for another week, maybe, but I decided I had proven my point.
I think I'm pretty clean now (when I was detoxing, OMG!!! I could not stand my own scent, I washed and changed my tops 2 times in 8 hours, particularly in the summer). I now use a simple
Iodine deodorant. Also, an
Iodine car freshner. I give rides to 2-4 people every day, and they commented on how unusual, but GOOD my car smells.
Happy? You bet!
