You might want to try adding in a couple grams of Vitamin C daily. I had the scratchy throat and clogged nose too, along with some other detox symptoms, and tried the salt loading (I highly recommend that now too) for a couple days which helped clear the throat and nose, but the Vitamin C at between 1500-4 grams has helped a tremendous amount with the other troublesome detox symptoms. That would be sore muscles, general aches and pains, stiffness and swelling of extremities, and backed up colon..the transverse from descending across transverse to ascending and in that order. It also helps my kidneys with a strong urine output. I would say better or it seems better than the salt loading at least for me, or maybe in conjunction with the salt loading?
I'm keeping up the Vitamin C mega-doses for now. The salt loading only at times, not daily.
