The Constitution is just a god damned piece of paper.-GBush

I believe in the right to life,liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The constitution has become an almost meaningless document. 1.7 million ,out of 2.2 million people are in prison for drug related crimes none of which are prohibited by the constitution.

Socialism in the US is very adversarial because of corporate america which is constantly trying to undermine it and because of the piecemeal approach. Sick people are just viewed as commodities to make a profit off of. Its the entire dehumanized way we look at things.

People dont move to Sweden because it is a small country which would not let many in, and it is practically in the arctic, etc.

Total freedom or anarcho capitalism is in my opinion just an illusion that some people are comfortable with. It is much like the idea of heaven or utopia. In reality we all will have to give up some freedoms.

The goal of government should be to create the best society for everyone. I do not have any nostalgia for the robber baron capitalism days nor that of soviet state communism. Yet everywhere we look we see this polarization being played out over and over again. It is always portrayed as capitalism vs communism.Freedom vs. Slavery. Bush vs. Chavez. Divide and Conquer.

I am in the middle politically with individual freedoms,a regulated market economy and social programs,health,education,security and retirement benefits for all. Tweet
