Thanks to the links by grzbear i just bought 25kg bag of
Epsom Salts and have been doing the baths for about 4 nights now.
i was hesitant to do
Epsom Salt baths previously because i didnt see what the benefit would be, just seemed like a waste of
Epsom Salts to me, also the price for the amount needed for a bath wasnt exactly cheap here.
but i found a guy on ebay selling the 25kg bags for good price so i bought a bag.
have to say so far it is helping me to sleep much better and i have been doing them before bed.
also since being on the
Iodine therapy i had some restless energy or anxiety that resulted in me leg tapping a lot or using my stepper exercise machine.
so far i have noticed less of this with the baths. the downside is i havent used the stepper hardly since starting the baths and so am getting less exercise, and so i dont know what to make of it at this stage.
maybe i need not do the
Epsom Salt baths every night?
maybe i should quite oral supplementation of magnesium whilst doing the baths, even though oral supplementation appears to be near worthless.
i also notice a strange effect when i start taking extra magnesium, i talk to myself. its a bit worrying really, but its like my brain is more active in planning things and i cant help it sometimes. having cfs for several years my brain is often very non active so i think its a good sign.
i noticed this effect whilst taking magnesium taurate supplement which somone recommeneded and is supposed to be well absorbed and also with the
Epsom Salt baths (esp the first 2 days), so it appears to me i am defniitely absorbing magnesium from the baths. I did not notice this effect from taking bog standard magnesium supplement from health food shop so that appears to backup i was not absorbing this very well.
