Speedy, I know you are on the right side and your heart is in the right place and I did not intend any personal attack against you.  I do tend to get a bit passionate when it comes to the issue of suppressing natural health and favoring greedy profits over human life and suffering.

Generally, I agree that the law is something that should be followed - but I only feel that is true when the laws are fair and just and evenly applied.  When they aren't I believe very strongly that it is our patriotic right and even duty to oppose such laws and those who would impose them on us.

We had a group of forefathers who set the example when they had a problem with the unfair and oppressive "laws" while we were still colonies.  They ultimately became fed up and so they made a declaration of liberty from those laws wherein they clearly stated that then and forever more, what the free citizens of this country are expected to do whenever laws are unjust and when our government or it's agencies cease to serve us and instead try to make us their servants.

Government derives its powers and it laws only from the consent of the governed, and the majority of the people want unhindered access to supplements - they made that abundantly clear when DSHEA was passed.  The FDA continues to try to circumvent DSHEA when it's focus should be on the far more dangerous drugs it approves and then keeps on the market long after the body counts reach horrendous levels. To me, it all boils down to this issue:

What right does the government of any of it's agencies have to tell us what we can or cannot do in addressing our own health issues so long as doing so does not affect anyone but us as supposed free citizens?

If we are harmed, we have the right to seek redress for damages and punishments against those who harm us.

The answer, imho, is to support Ron Paul's bill to make the FDA prove the harm of a supplement before seizing it or banning it.  And to support Ron Paul who wants to return us to the Federal Republic we were founded to be and have the government once more serve us instead of command us.

BTW, I just returned form Hondo Texas, where I had some chicken enchiladas and where the sign on the main highway says "Welcome to Hondo.  This is God's country, so please do not drive like Hell through it." LOL.

Before I left, I went over to the  Charantea USA website and posted on their message board that they are not alone in their fight and referred them to this forum - where we have our own fight.  More like a family squabble.  But also some good info for them I hope, and some support too.
