A very congested liver cannot process many of the herbs used in the so-called cleansers. A natural way to help cleanse the liver is to eat plenty of dark green leafy vegetables, carrots, and citrus fruits. Every morning drink the juice of a fresh squeezed lemon. Be sure a get some good quality oil like olive throughout the day. Avoid all deep fried foods and all processed foods containing trans fats. Work on getting your colon in shape.
If you do nothing else, take the lemon juice every morning and use good oil to stimulate the bile. I really think Liver Flushing done correctly and not taken to extremes would be best for you, but until you feel ready to do this and deal with some of the unpleasant aspects, then flushing is probably not the right choice.
