Personally, I think that if this was somehow triggered by HW it could have also been triggered by something else eventually, so I'm not up in arms in trying to "protect" humaworm as a product, or as a company, or even as a great group of people.

The product speaks for itself in how many people it has helped in ways large and small.

We can never know what triggered the ALS, and that was my point-- our bodies are mysterious beasts that can sometimes react most strangely, even to things it has been around before (not that the original poster took humaworm, but if there was an individual ingredient that may have been the stress agent.)

It is definitely a good wake up call to everyone to research and always know that there might be consequences that could never in a million years be forseen.
