Re: It does take more than iodine

Hmm. Jury's still out for me on soy, I avoid it mainly because I cannot digest it in any way, shape or form. It ALL gives me tremendous gas, even miso and tofu. Soy protein drinks from powders are the worst. Which is a shame, because I love tofu. What I don't understand is how it helps if you are estrogen-dominant, considering it mimics estrogen in the body? Very confusing to me. I do eat meat a couple times a week - mostly chicken or fish. I find I don't need much if it's combined with a healthy fat, like an olive oil dressing. My blood Sugar is much, much more stable than it used to be. At one point I couldn't go more than 3 hours without eating, now I can occasionally skip meals without even noticing hunger. I had been drinking green tea twice a day, and I'm still not ready to give up a little morning caffeine (though now it's mate), but I've experienced that blood Sugar spike and drop. My husband still drinks two triple-shots a day, even though he notices that, too. I gave up coffee years ago, on the rare occasion I indulge, I usually regret it. My liver doesn't like it...
