Yeah, that's the bad thing about birth control. Unless you want to use condoms, or the mucus method, your only reliable option is to use hormones. Obviously they don't treat everybody very well. That's why I recommend Implanon as a hormonal bc though instead of any others, if you do poorly with it you should be able to get it removed quickly. It sucks to hear stories of people who react very badly to hormones and get something like depo, that situation usually turns out very much for the worse.
